This is very true.
Before that particular morning when I led prayers in TCLN’s FORGE (second batch), I had read a few books on finance.
I had read The Smart Money Woman and The Smart Money Tribe by Arese Ugwu.
If you’ve read those books, you know your financial life can’t remain the same. Something changes in you—your eyes are opened, and you begin to make progress, no matter how small, in managing and growing your money.
But that wasn’t the case for me. I had learnt many things, but I was still where I was—a money spender.
So, that morning, after leading prayers and as we were rounding up, the Holy Spirit came for me out of nowhere. 😂
I can’t even recall if we prayed about money that day, but suddenly a question dropped into my mind: “How much have you saved so far?”
I was confused for a moment. Like, where is this coming from?
Then, like a replay, everything I had read in those books—and in a few other finance books—flashed through my mind.
I was stunned.
Na that time I get Rhema. 😂
The Holy Spirit was patient, but stern too. He made it clear that no matter how much I get from anywhere, I should always save ten percent—just like the formula given in the book.
And that was how my savings journey started.
Indeed, for some of us, if the Godhead is not involved… it just has to be the Godhead.
