Bad Versus Good Branding
Do you know why the woman at the junction of your bus stop have not grown in her business even if she has been selling food stuff for the past 10 years?
It is due to lack of brand strategy and obviously not the devil's handwork. She does not know how to present her business!
Bad branding is inconsistent, does it know the competition, does not have a unique value proposition, does not define it's audience.
Good branding is a science. It is not just about having a logo but how you speak and present your business to your prospect.
A good brand should:
• Learn about the competition
• Know what you can do better than your competition
• Define your unique value proposition
• You name should makes you known while your slogan should do the selling
• You logo should say something about your brand, should have an expression.
• Have a good website to connect with your customers
What is a brand?
Brand is the identity and story of a company that makes it stand out from the competiton that sell similar products. Examples of brand are Apple, Samsung, Gucci, Mary Kay, Dominos etc.
Importance of branding in marketing
• Consistency
• Loyalty
• Brings new customers to the business.
• Helps customers to remember your business.
