Crafting Your Way to Financial Freedom!

How are you cutting down costs?

Growing up, I always believed everyone should have a craft. Maybe it was having a mother who was a career civil servant with crafts that sharpened my ideology. Her ability to transform simple materials into beautiful, useful items left a lasting impression on me.

I've never been a fan of paying for everything I need. For instance, why should you, as a lady, always be paying for your hair to be done, or for your makeup, nails, and even for snacks when you have your own two hands? Similarly, why should you, as a guy, always pay for a clean haircut, for amending of your oversized second-hand clothes(Okirika), or for handmade footwear?

I believe everyone should have a craft that can serve as an exit route from some unnecessary expenses. While you can't have it all, remember that you can acquire some skills and exchange them for the ones you don't have.

Forget about the Instagram and TikTok influencers with their flashy lifestyles and questionable values. Look inward to find people with substance and learn from them.

For a while now, I've been watching DJ Cuppy, and I've noticed something remarkable about her. Despite her status as a billionaire's daughter and her successful career in the entertainment industry, she is incredibly intentional about her choices. In this picture, she made her dress, did her hair, and applied her makeup herself. Just think about how much that has saved her!

While the money may not matter to you, do you know the joy that comes from using what you made with your own hands? There's a sense of pride and accomplishment that no amount of money can buy.

So, take a look at your hands. What do you have in them? What craft do you possess? How are you cutting down costs?

I have immense respect for all the sisters and brothers out there with a craft, strategically cutting down costs in one way or another. Keep honing your skills, and remember, your craft is not just a hobby .... it's a powerful tool for financial freedom.
