Here's a Simple 7-Step Checklist to follow before sending out an email to customers, clients and potential prospects 👇
(miss any of these + your revenue will suffer!)
//THREAD//
#1 Are you sending to high engagers?
Segmentation is key for email marketing,
Especially for Ecom.
You should be sending *most* emails out to your high engagers.
(If you aren't? You are negatively impacting deliverability in the long run)
#2 Does your email add value (or just sales)?
I've said this many times:
Your emails should add value (at least the majority of them!)
This means:
>entertainment
>educational content
>informational content
This will improve readership + eliminate spam complaints.
#3 Are you A/B testing your subject line?
Different audiences respond to different copy.
In my opinion,
You should *never* not be testing subject lines.
Try completely different types to see what works,
And if you find something that does?
Keep testing still
#4 Does your Preview text entice the reader to open the email?
Preview text = your '2nd subject line'.
While subject lines should get attention,
Your preview text entices subscribers to open the email.
Bake curiosity into your preview text for maximum opens.
#5 Does the Email have just one idea (or many)?
This is a common issue I see with emails:
They're doing too much.
Emails aren't sales pages - you can't fit in everything.
All you want to do is 'sell the click',
So focus on ONE big idea.
Too many ideas lose readership.
#6 Is the email mobile-friendly?
~85% of users use smartphones to access their inbox,
Making it the #1 device for checking email.
So,
All your emails must be mobile-friendly.
Most ESP's make it easy to preview your email on mobile... make sure to use this feature!
#7 Does the CTA sell the click (NOT the product)?
Like I've said many times before,
Your product/sales page should sell the product.
The goal of your email:
Sell the click.
Your CTA should reflect this.
Keep the curiosity going in the CTA.
Example:
"Discover the secret.."
How To Make Your First 1M In Sales Thread 🧵
7 keys to make 7 figures Monthly In Marketing And Sales:
1. Build a strong team
If your team is weak the business will fail.I have 2 rules for hiring people:
1. Hire people who can do what you cant do or don't have time to do
2. Hire not just for skill but compatibility. People can be skillful but not useful to the company.
2. Focus on the major
Many startups fail because the ceo isn't focused on the future.
Learn too apply the 80/20 rule. Out of the 100 things you can focus on only focus on the top 20 most important things and leave the rest to the capable team YOU HIRED.
3. Hire Fast. Fire Faster. Promote the fastes
Hire those who look like quality and prove to have face value upfront.
Fire those who don't show who dosent fit or can tell won't last long.
Promote those who excel and train them to create other high performers.
4. Apply The 1-3-1 rule.
When your supervisors and managers come with problems don't solve the problem for them teach them the 1-3-1 rule..also learned from danmartell
Help them diagnose the #1 problem
Have them provide 3 strategic solutions
Have the act on best option.
5. Stop trying to go hot all the time and learn to go cold
I learned this from sabrisuby that when money isn't really available or just starting out don't waste your money on ads (going hot) but put in work sending out 100s cold texts, emails and calls
6. Be proficient in the art of closing and negotiating
Many companies are world class winners at generating leads but world class losers are closing deals.
Popular sain says you can lead a horse to water but can't make it drink but in sales you have to know how to make it drink that's where the money is
7. Set strategic goals
Without vision a business will perish. Yes it's great and exciting your started a Saas or #markting company but what goals are in place to give you direction? Goals are not achievements but guidelines to help you not to waste time and stay on track me.
