I want to share a personal story with you. When I was younger, I was an avid reader. I would read anything I could get my hands on - from newspapers I found on the street to my own notebooks in my primary school days. But as I grew older, my passion for reading started to fade. I found myself struggling to read even my own notes in secondary school. I preferred discussing with my friends to reading, and this really affected my academic performance.

Recently, I took some time to reflect on what might have caused my reading habits to decline. And you know what I discovered? It was my environment. I had surrounded myself with friends who didn't prioritize academic success. They were okay with average grades, and that mindset rubbed off on me.

I realized that the people we surround ourselves with can have a huge impact on our habits and motivation. So, I want to ask you - are you struggling with reading?

Maybe it's not because you're not smart enough or capable enough. Maybe it's because of the people you're hanging out with. You have the power to choose your friends and your environment. Surround yourself with people who inspire and motivate you to be your best self.
