What comes to mind when you hear sales?

Is it Ade who sits in an office making cold calls to about 300 people in a day? And makes sales from 5 people.

Or

Is it Emeka who writes a sales letter in an office to over 30000 target customers and gets a 300% response from that one sales letter over a course of time?

Well, both are salesmen but the later has a more effective strategy.
In the world today, digital marketing has taken prominence because the world has advanced online.
There is more to be achieved by having your brand online.

Mind you sales can be online and offline. You can do both.

Sales is important to every business. Every business owner should be the number one sales person in their company. If you are not selling in your business. You do not have a business.

So what comes to mind when I hear sales; having an effective sales strategy to make money online and offline.

What is sales?

Sales is a term used to describe the activities that lead to the selling of goods or services.

Basic knowledge is:
• knowing how your product works
• What value it provides
• Why your consumer need to get your product.

To achieve effective sales
1. Know everything about your product: You have to know everything about your product. From the features to the benefits it can give to your customers. You have to conduct market research.

2. Know your target audience: It is essential to know your target audience. From general information to indepth information.

For instance you would want to know about their
• Age, location, names
• where they are on the internet
• What are their pains, desires, hopes and dreams
• what language they speak or use when searching for your product. etc
To have an effective strategy; create a customer avarter.

2. Overcome objections: What objections do your product have or your customers have. The most successful sales letter. Answers these objections so as to lead the customer to buy.

3. Generate leads: For a business to grow. It must continuously generate leads for it's business.
You can do that by
• Understanding the buyers persona
• Create engaging content
• Attract the right audience
• Give a high value content
• Get their contact

4. Customer relationship management: You can have everything going but if you leave this out. It is like giving your customers to your competition free of charge. You must know how to have good standard relationship with your customers.

5. Call to action: Your customers need to know that they have to buy and now. This is by telling them to make an order. You can input urgency here too.
