A Mistake I See People Make Online (And a Better Way of Handling Such)
#day18 #brandevocreator’squestchallenge25 #thecreatorsquest

One common mistake I’ve observed online—and honestly, one I’ve made myself before—is posting for attention instead of intention.

We live in a world where being seen can feel like being validated. So, it’s easy to fall into the trap of sharing content just to get likes, comments, or followers without truly thinking about the value it gives others. I used to feel that if I wasn’t posting frequently or trending, I wasn’t doing enough. So I’d post rushed content, vague messages, or random updates that weren’t aligned with my goals—just to “stay visible.”

But here’s what I learned: visibility without value is noise.

What’s a better way to handle this?
Focus on intention. Ask yourself before every post:

- Who is this for?
- What do I want them to take away?
- Does this reflect my message or purpose?

Instead of posting for reactions, post for impact. Whether you’re educating, inspiring, entertaining, or storytelling—make it count. Engagement that comes from real value is deeper and more sustainable than attention that's fleeting.
Another mistake tied to this is trying to be everywhere at once—joining every trend, copying what others are doing, or switching up your brand too often. Consistency in your tone, values, and message builds trust.

Here are better habits I recommend:

1. Define your why online. Know your reason for showing up.
2. Curate your content. You don’t have to post everything. Choose quality over quantity.
3. Be authentic. Your voice is your strongest asset—use it genuinely.
4. Engage with purpose.Comment, like, and share not just to be seen, but to build connection.
5. Review your growth. What content are people connecting with? Double down on that.

In conclusion, the digital space is noisy, but intentional voices always stand out. Don’t chase clout—offer clarity. Don’t post just for likes—post for lasting impact. That’s how we build meaningful online presence, not just popularity.

This Is Who I Am (Right Now)

Right now, I am a work in progress—someone who’s learning, growing, and embracing the journey of becoming. I’m not perfect, and I’m far from having all the answers, but I’m clear on what matters to me and where I’m headed.

At my core, I care deeply about authenticity and connection. I believe in showing up as my true self, even when it’s uncomfortable, because that’s where real growth and meaningful relationships happen. I’m building a life and a brand centered on honesty, empathy, and creativity. I want to inspire others to find their own voices and express themselves unapologetically.

Right now, I’m focused on developing my skills in storytelling, content creation, and communication. I see these as powerful tools—not just for my personal growth but to influence and uplift others. Whether it’s through writing, social media, or everyday conversations, I want to spark thought, encourage reflection, and foster positive change.

I’m also committed to protecting my mental space and surrounding myself with people who value respect and genuine interaction. Boundaries are a big part of this evolution; I’m learning that it’s okay to say no and prioritize my peace without guilt.
While I’m still evolving, the foundation I’m building is strong—rooted in self-awareness, courage, and a desire to grow continuously. I embrace the uncertainty and the challenges because I know they’re part of the process.

This is who I am right now: a creator, a learner, a believer in kindness, and someone determined to leave a positive mark—both online and offline. I’m excited for what’s ahead, and I’m ready to keep pushing, evolving, and creating.

Something I Was Afraid of That I Finally Did

Fear can be a powerful barrier. For a long time, I was afraid to put myself out there—whether it was posting my first piece of content, making my first sale, or going live on video. The fear wasn’t just about failing or being judged; it was about stepping into the unknown and risking vulnerability.

For me, the moment that stands out is when I finally decided to do my first live video. I remember scrolling through social media, watching others go live with confidence and ease, while I felt stuck behind my screen, doubting my own voice and message. The idea of talking to strangers in real-time, without a script, was terrifying. What if I stumbled? What if no one cared? What if I wasn’t good enough?

Despite all these fears, I knew that growth was on the other side of discomfort. So, I made a decision. I planned a simple live session focused on something I was passionate about. The night before, I was nervous but also excited. When the moment came, my heart raced, my palms were sweaty, and I felt the familiar tightness of anxiety.

But then I started talking.
The first few seconds were shaky, but as I continued, I found my rhythm. I connected with viewers who sent encouraging comments, asked questions, and shared their own experiences. That interaction was electric — it reminded me that real connection happens when we’re authentic and brave enough to show up as ourselves.

After I ended the live session, I felt a rush of accomplishment. That fear that once held me back began to fade. I realized that courage isn’t about never feeling scared—it’s about acting despite the fear.

This experience taught me that the biggest barriers we face are often the ones we build in our minds. When we push past them, we open doors to new opportunities, connections, and growth.

If you’re reading this and feeling afraid to take your own leap, know that you’re not alone. It’s okay to be scared. What matters is that you decide to try anyway.

Day 15 – Brandevo 21-Day Content Challenge:

Showing Up Online: The 3 Things That Changed Everything for Me

There was a time I barely showed up online. Not because I didn’t have value to offer, but because I didn’t feel confident or consistent enough to put myself out there. That changed—and here are the top three things that helped me show up more consistently and authentically.

1. The Brandevo Challenge Itself

This challenge has been more than just prompts and deadlines—it’s been a push. When I joined, I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to keep up. But having a structured plan and daily topics removed the mental block of “what do I post today?” It gave me direction. Every day, I had a reason to show up—and soon, I started *wanting* to show up.

Also, seeing other creators in the community sharing their posts daily inspired me. I didn’t feel alone anymore. I was growing alongside others who were learning, experimenting, and showing up despite their fears. That energy is contagious.

2. Letting Go of Perfectionism
One major thing that held me back was the need for everything to be “just right.” The perfect caption, the perfect image, the perfect timing. But I’ve come to learn that done is better than perfect. The truth is: no one is coming to judge you—they’re coming to connect.

I started showing up with what I had. If all I had was a raw thought, I shared it. If I only had time for a short caption, I still posted it. And guess what? People *related* more to those simple, real moments than to the curated ones. Consistency began to beat perfection.

3. A Shift in Mindset

This might sound small, but it’s everything: I stopped making it about *me*. I stopped thinking, “Will people like this?” and started asking, “How can this help someone?” That shift turned posting from pressure into purpose.

Now, when I post, I see it as service—not performance. Whether it’s a lesson I learned, a funny moment, or a hard truth, I show up knowing that someone might need it that day. That mindset keeps me going even when engagement is low or I feel tired.

In Conclusion:

Showing up online consistently isn’t magic—it’s built by momentum, community, and mindset. I’m still learning, still growing, but I can boldly say: I’m no longer hiding.
And if you’re reading this and struggling to show up too, here’s my advice—start small, be honest, and find your why. The rest will follow.

A Post That Inspired Me This Week
Angle: Reflection

This week, I came across a post that truly inspired me in ways I didn’t expect. It wasn’t the kind of post that shouts for attention with bold colors or dramatic headlines. Instead, it was calm, thoughtful, and refreshingly simple. The message was about slowing down, living intentionally, and not letting the rush of life steal the joy of the present moment.

In today’s fast-paced world, it feels like everyone is always running—chasing deadlines, achievements, and endless goals. Productivity is often glorified as if being busy is the only measure of worth. That is why this post stood out so strongly to me. It was a reminder that rest is not laziness, that presence is just as important as progress, and that life is not meant to be lived only in pursuit of the next milestone. Reading it felt like a deep breath after holding one in for too long.

The post encouraged readers to embrace the little things—morning walks, shared laughter, quiet evenings, and even moments of solitude. It made me reflect on how easy it is to overlook these blessings in the race to accomplish more. I realized how often I measure my days only by what I got done instead of how much I actually experienced or enjoyed. That gentle reminder to pause, notice, and appreciate made me smile.

What truly resonated was the writer’s honesty. They didn’t pretend to have all the answers. Instead, they admitted their own struggles with balance and mindfulness. That authenticity was inspiring. It showed me that sometimes the most powerful form of encouragement comes not from people who appear perfect but from those willing to share their imperfections. It reminded me that vulnerability is not weakness; it is strength that connects.

This post also challenged me to think about the kind of energy I share with others. Do my words encourage peace, rest, and balance—or do I unconsciously add to the noise of “do more, be more, achieve more”? The reflection stayed with me long after I finished reading. I realized that inspiration is not always about grand achievements; often it is about presence, kindness, and the courage to be real.

Sometimes, all it takes is one thoughtful message to shift your perspective. This particular post became that for me—a mirror reminding me to extend grace to myself, to slow down, and to embrace life as it is unfolding right now. It reminded me that happiness is not always found in the next big thing but in the little things happening today.

If my reflection inspires someone else to pause, breathe, or smile, then the cycle of inspiration continues. That is the beauty of content—it can be simple yet profound, quiet yet transformative. And this week, that is exactly what I found: inspiration in a single, heartfelt post.
